FLY Pathways Program

Through our Pathways Program, we intend to help remove barriers and support people with an accessibility requirement. And for us, accessibility goes further than disability, with our reach intended to make the process of competing in, or spectating, live sports easier for all.

With the Brisbane 2032 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games just around the corner, now's the time to start developing the required knowledge, infrastructure and community reach with real purpose.

We aim to create opportunities for anyone to participate in sport alongside their peers, are driven by inclusion, and want to help improve the way integrated sport participation programs are delivered.

We do this via two means – helping provide school-age children with pathways into sport participation (including the funding of equipment), and working with mass participation events to improve their accessible pathways and participant experience.

More specifically, we operate this program in a number of key ways:

  • Equipment - By funding the purchase of accessibility equipment for certain individuals, clubs, teams, associations and bodies, we are able to directly impact their ability to integrate people with an accessibility requirement into sporting activities alongside their peers.

  • Integration - By offering our expertise, we are able to highlight low cost, high yield changes that can be made to improve the standard of integration for people of all capabilities into recreational clubs, teams, associations and bodies.

  • Event Review - Through our extensive knowledge of international event management, we provide a review-and-recommendation assessment for event organisers to consider implementing. This includes;

    • Participant inclusions - How best to integrate all participants, regardless of any physical or mental disabilities.

    • Spectator inclusions - Methods to address accessibility challenges for spectators, including quiet zones, baby break facilities and more.

The FLY Pathways Program is directly funded through the events that we run. By participating in one of our events, you are providing direct funding for equipment and services that have a tangible and long-term positive impact on those that we support.
